Robert Half Assistant Controller in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

We are seeking an Assistant Controller based in the Philadelphia region. This Assistant Controller role is within the construction industry and will involve managing accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization, as well as preparing financial statements and reports. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements that summarize the company's financial position.

  • Generate and oversee balance sheets and project future revenues and expenditures.

  • Support the management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting processes within the organization.

  • Aid in audit preparation activities.

  • Address and rectify accounting discrepancies or imbalances.

  • Ensure adherence to, and compile reports in accordance with, relevant government regulations.

  • Utilize accounting software, like QuickBooks, to keep records and generate reports.

  • Assign accounting responsibilities to junior staff members.

  • Liaise with and develop reports for the CEO.

  • Enhance team efforts by completing associated tasks as necessary.

    Requirements

The ideal Assistant Controller candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. CPA or CMA preferred

Other requirements for the Assistant Controller position include and are not limited to:

  • 5+ years of Construction Industry experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of GAAP.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • QuickBooks knowledge preferred.

  • Solid work ethic with a high level of energy and integrity.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
