Description
Robert Half Finance has partnered with a company that is seeking a results-oriented Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller will supervise the accounting staff while reporting to the Controller. Key responsibilities
Analysis of rates/unit cost from different funding streams
Designs and develops comparative reports on vacancies, losses, etc.
Assists in developing grants/proposals from a variety of sources
Tracking and reporting of funds from various sources
Reviews contracts; ensures compliance; ensures timely reporting to funding agencies
Audit personal client funds and home Petty Cash on semi-annual basis
Prepare/review monthly/quarterly reports for accuracy and unusual transactions
Requirements
The ideal Assistant Controller candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. Graduate degree in Business Administration or a related field or be a CPA.
Other requirements for the Assistant Controller position include and are not limited to:
5++ years experience, Non-profit accounting experience required
Experience with rates/unit cost with different funding streams and ability to analyze components of rates
Knowledge of ODP/DDDS state regulations
Knowledge of Fund Accounting required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated business operations-oriented person with strong analytical skills
