Robert Half Collections Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

  • Oversees the planning, assessment, implementation, and continuous enhancement of all facets of credit & collection functions and procedures.

  • Collaborates with the Finance Committee on all credit and collection matters.

  • Regularly meets with the committee to discuss issues related to Accounts Receivable (A/R) and unbilled time, and propose specific action plans for A/R, such as payment schemes, halting client work or declining additional tasks.

  • Aids in outlining specific collection goals and strives to meet them.

  • Establishes and nurtures professional relationships with clients and lawyers.

  • Collaborates closely with Partners to address any concerns about credit and collection with both existing and prospective clients.

  • Engages with attorneys to evaluate the credit reliability of possible clients. Proposes retainer recommendations upon client approval.

  • Engages directly with clients to resolve arrears in receivables.

  • Utilizes necessary software systems such as Juris, Star Collect, and other credit assessment programs to ensure job performance.


The ideal Collections Manager candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.

Other requirements for the Collections Manager position include and are not limited to:

  • 5+ years of experience in the commercial sector.

  • 2+ years experience in a collections or credit role.

  • Professional services industry experience preferred.

  • Star Collect preferred, not required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with especially strong Excel skills

  • Excellent support skills, ability to work well under pressure, professional demeanor and strong written and oral communication skills.
