This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the Philadelphia region. To succeed in this role, you will need to plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. If you can effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services and are a creative type who can lead while also being a team player, generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo, you might be right for this position.   • Assist management with important financial decisions.

  • Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, and statements to understand the financial state of business.

  • Assist in preparing financial reports and budgets.

  • Monitor the company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs.

  • Keep up to date on the financial market to understand how to maximize profits and find new expansion areas.

  • Understand the financial status of a company to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing.

    Requirements

The ideal Controller candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. MBA or CPA strongly recommended.

Other requirements for the Controller position include and are not limited to:

  • 3+ years of experience overseeing AP, AR, and payroll.

  • Non-profit experience

  • Experience with accounting software products such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Excel proficiency

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience in consolidated financial reporting and analysis
