As the Controller, you will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff. Planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff will be essential for this role. Leading with integrity and reliability and having the ability to manage self and others with urgency, practicality and accountability when providing client services will be essential for this role.   • Focuses on crafting financial models for development and construction teams across all projects.

  • Manages job costing, project tracking, and performance assessment.

  • Collaborates with banks, law firms, zoning boards, sub-contractors, engineers, and third-party entities for transactions, land acquisitions, and entitlements.

    Requirements

The ideal Controller candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Controller position include and are not limited to:

  • 5+ years of experience in Project Accounting or Construction Accounting

  • Proficient with Quickbooks

  • Great reporting skills

  • AIA Billing

  • Able to work independently with attention to detail and follow-through

  • Strong organization and communication skills
