Description
In this role, you will need to excel at explaining intricate technical information to the non-technical user. A driven individual who is most productive in an active and positive environment is the ideal candidate for this position. Robert Half has a Desktop Support Technician role that may be the position for you, if that's you. We're looking for motivated candidates with effective problem-solving abilities. This Desktop Support Analyst role is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity based in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area.
Onsite, 8am-4pm
What you get to do every day:
Administer computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
Support records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
Solve computer problems, and implement appropriate action/solutions
Coordinate hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
Interact regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
Administer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
Preserve, inspect, and mend computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
Requirements
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
VOIP (voice over IP) experience preferred
Chromebook experience required
Solid understanding of Windows PC
Basic Troubleshooting experience highly desired
2+ years of desktop support or other related experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred
