Robert Half DevOps Engineer II in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description We are in search of a Software Engineer to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is pivotal in our digital transformation project, requiring an individual with a strong understanding of new technologies to ensure timely delivery of initiatives. The role involves extensive collaboration with multiple product teams and a focus on automation and monitoring systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead infrastructure and automation efforts for our Digital Transformation project.

• Define infrastructure and system needs for the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role using best practices.

• Construct automation using configuration management tools to effortlessly scale projects.

• Design and implement monitoring solutions for projects via automation.

• Collaborate with product teams on items related to SRE.

• Oversee the reporting and accountability of all eCommerce performance metrics.

• Develop and enhance scalable application infrastructure focused on delivering top-tier eCommerce capabilities.

• Define and deliver global application roadmaps and technology platforms.

• Manage the development and deployment of all release management features for online systems.

• Maintain centralized logs of numerous applications using Splunk. Requirements • Proficient in Python and other relevant programming languages

• Demonstrated experience in software design and implementation

• Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS

• Knowledge and experience in automation and deployment strategies

• Experience with web application development and e-commerce platforms

• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems

• Demonstrated ability to monitor and report on KPIs

• Experience in DevOps and understanding of best practices

• Ability to support workstations and deal with related issues

• Strong understanding of digital transformation processes

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Sciences or related field

• Proven experience in software engineering

• Familiarity with Chef automation platform

• Comfortable with large scale deployments and ability to scale out

• Experience with innovation in the tech industry

• Understanding of 'About Time' software and its application

• Ability to work on and support various digital platforms

• Experience with various monitoring tools
