Robert Half International HR Generalist in PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania


OfficeTeam currently has a fabulous opportunity for a highly-skilled and motivated HR Generalist. The HR Generalist will be in control of a wide variety of assignments, including owning a number of different personnel related administrative tasks and providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures.

Key responsibilities

•Upkeep, timely data entry and report generation HRIS Systems

•Reconcile payroll with finance (biweekly)

•Serve as backup for freelance timesheets

•Onboarding– send new hire communications, collect and track HR forms, verify employment status, administer new hire survey, conduct new hire orientation

•Offboarding – send termination alerts, process paperwork, calculate PTO accrual and payout, update HRIS and internal documents/applications

•Benefits– acts as main contact for employee questions, liaise with 3rd party specialists, conduct information sessions for benefits and timesheets

•Filing– maintain organization of physical and electronic files

•Greet freelancers on their first day to assist with orientation, IT set up

•Coordinate phone interviews and in person interviews with hiring managers for freelance positions

•Create, analyze and maintain freelancer files and trackers


  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

  • Familiar with office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)

  • Capability to interact with all levels of staff in a rapidly quickly changing environment while maintaining an approachable and appropriate demeanor

  • Experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

  • Strong familiarity with benefits administration
