Are you a self-starter looking to start you career as a Human Resources Leave Management Specialist? As a Human Resources Leave Management Specialist you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, including overseeing all programs and plans related to paid and unpaid leave of absence. This position is responsible for providing prompt, efficient service to all employee inquiries at all company sites. This position extensively handles highly confidential employee information.

Your responsibilities

-Serve as subject matter expert for all leave of absence programs including STD, LTD, FMLA and any state

statutory programs ensuring each program is functioning according to contract, company policy, procedure and all applicable regulatory compliance.

-Interact with employees who are requesting a leave of absence to thoroughly review policy, procedure

and required paperwork.

-Coordinate administrative procedures and determine whether leaves are eligible regarding FMLA, STD

and ADA as applicable for all company sites.

-Act as the liaison with the disability vendor. Develop and maintain sound relationship with vendor

representatives, implement effective means to routinely report on program status.

-Partner with direct bill vendor as needed to ensure data and information is provided timely to collect

benefit premiums from employees on an unpaid leave of absence.

-Establish and maintain relationship with the Payroll Department to determine appropriate processes and

procedures for leave of absence programs and revise as needed. Maintain weekly report and tracking of

individual employee leave of absence statuses.

-Assist with maintaining written procedures for processing all leave of absences. Compile monthly reports

which are presented to management such as leave of absence program

summary and statistics and develop quarterly audit reports of key program metrics.

-Oversee maintenance of all files and records pertaining to employee claims, program modifications and

compliance with appropriate documented procedures.

-Continually seek opportunities to improve overall programs and administration or specific process

components and provide appropriate recommendations to management.

-Coordinate and assist with various Benefits Department projects as needed.


Other requirements for the Human Resources Leave Management Specialist position include and are not limited to:

-3+ years of Human Resources and experience desired

-Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations

-Leave management experience highly desired

-Strong organization and communication skills

-Proven technical skills
