Robert Half Insurance Defense Paralegal in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be primarily working on insurance defense and billable hours, with a focus on case management and legal research. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for law, we'd like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis, Adobe Acrobat, and other Case Management Software.

• Handle billing functions and manage billable hours efficiently.

• Provide support in insurance defense cases, including claim administration and complaint handling.

• Assist in the preparation of legal briefings and documentation.

• Use Microsoft Excel and other management systems for data organization and tracking.

• Manage calendars, schedules, and deadlines effectively.

• Supervise a group of paralegals, providing guidance and support as needed.

• Maintain and update case files, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded.

• Communicate with clients and other parties to address inquiries and resolve issues related to credit.

• Ensure compliance with legal regulations and industry standards. Requirements • Must possess a degree or certification in paralegal studies from an accredited institution

• Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel is essential

• Experience with case management software and management systems is required

• Familiarity with LexisNexis for legal research is a must

• Ability to handle billing functions efficiently

• Experience in briefing on legal cases and claim administration

• Skilled in calendar management and complaint handling

• Knowledge of insurance defense is beneficial

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Must adhere to professional ethics and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality.
