As a Payroll Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the fiscal health of the organization, overseeing all financial transactions, and managing the organization's human resources functions. As a Payroll Accountant Your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Efficiently managing all accounts receivable and payable within the organization, including tuition, donations, and vendor payments.
• Overseeing the maintenance of accurate bookkeeping records and ensuring the management of bank accounts, including deposits, funding tracking, and cash flow.
• Collaborating with the contracted accountant to create monthly financial reports and distributing quarterly financials to board members.
• Facilitating the annual audit and tax process for the organization.
• Processing payroll and managing payroll accounts, inclusive of payroll taxes and benefits.
• Tracking and distributing petty cash as required.
• Managing and tracking employee files including attendance, leaves of absence, and background checks.
• Overseeing and managing compensation and benefits for the organization.
• Preparing and distributing employment agreements and ensuring compliance with external requirements.
• Assisting with the preparation for the organization's annual inspection and participating in administrative school meetings.
• Delegating responsibilities to other school staff as necessary and ensuring the school's policies and safety protocols are adhered to.

Requirements
The ideal Payroll Accountant candidate will have:
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in Accrual Accounting
• Skills in Auditing
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
• Familiarity with Ceridian
• Ability to use Concur
• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration
• Proficiency in About Time
