As a Payroll Administrator Your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for timely and accurate processing, balancing, auditing, and completion for all assigned pay processing groups (pay groups).

• Responsible for uploading and troubleshooting data warehouse and other files containing earnings, deductions or payroll memo related data which span more than one pay processing groups (pay groups) and coordinates this process with other payroll analysts and assisting them with balancing and processing as needed.

• Works collaboratively with payroll management and team members to modify and enhance payroll tools necessary to meet organizational control and documentation requirements.

• Maintains a high level of confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of their work.

• Responsible for training all new staff members in the steps and tools necessary to meet the organizational requirements.

• Completes review of all NOC and returned direct deposits for resolution.

• Works with payroll management in the implementation of new software functionality, best practices and organizational.

• Assists in coordinating payroll activities for the organization's merger/acquisition initiatives.

• Responsible for maintenance of payroll process documentation.

• Participates as the payroll representative in various audits as required by the organization.

• Works closely with Compensation and Benefits staff with regards to bonus calculations, financial data for bonus programs, and calculation of fringe benefit rates.

• Accurately and timely responds to business data needs creating ad hoc reports or participates in formal report creation as needed.

• Supports and assists the Payroll Tax Analyst with quarter and year-end processes.

• Processes and manages wage attachments as needed.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal Payroll Administrator candidate will have:

• 2+ years of relevant experience in payroll

• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now

• Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements

• Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

• Prior experience working with accounting software

• Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

• Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data

• Expertise with internal controls

• Expertise in Pay Checks

• Union payroll experience

• Experienced in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen

• Experience with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
