Description

This Payroll and Benefits Manager position may be for you, if you want a challenging position with an industry leader and a strong career growth opportunity. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Manager with drive and initiative to oversee and participate in the organization’s payroll function; including the implementation, maintenance, and review of the payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions. What you get to do every day

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

  • Assist with financial, workers compensation and other audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.

  • Oversee the flow of payroll and related data into and from the company’s other integrated systems and divisional databases

  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.

  • Prepare payroll in compliance with established policies, procedures, and international, federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Follow up with managers for timecard and PTO approvals, and exceptions.

  • Follow up on direct deposit exceptions.

  • Process wage garnishment requests.

  • Calculate off-cycle manual checks and reversals.

    Requirements

The ideal Payroll Manager candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting preferred.

Other requirements for the Payroll Manager position include and are not limited to:

  • 3++ years of payroll supervision experience

  • Experience and familiarity with garnishments and payroll taxes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excel and Outlook, intermediate to advanced skills

  • Experience with prioritizing and coordinating multiple tasks and deadlines
