Robert Half Property Controller in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

Robert Half is reviewing candidates for an ambitious Property Controller opening, who is seeking to contribute their skills to a prominent company. In this leadership position, you will direct an accounting and clerical department. As the Controller, you will be planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. We are seeking an individual for this role who is able to motivate others by maintaining a positive professional attitude; exhibit integrity, reliability and leadership; and is capable of providing exceptional client services by managing self and others by responding with a sense of urgency, practicality and accountability. The Property Controller will be a permanent employment opportunity and will be located in the Philadelphia region.

Major responsibilities:

  • Preparation of general ledger, cash reporting and reconciliations for various development projects

  • Review of financial statements prepared by various external property managers

  • Evaluation and proposal of accounting adjustments needed on property manager books

  • Prepares monthly, quarterly & annual financial reports as required

  • Coordination and review of loan and operating covenants for various development project

    Requirements

The ideal Property Controller candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.

Other requirements for the Property Controller position include and are not limited to:

  • 5+ years of experience required

  • Commercial real estate accounting experience required

  • Great Plains/Yardi (or similar property management software) preferred

  • Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Team player with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
