Robert Half Supply Chain Financial Analyst in PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania

Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Supply Chain Financial Analyst II in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs and communicate these findings to clients. A key part of this role is to understand and analyze business trends, project future revenues and expenses, and interpret data affecting investment strategies.

The Supply Chain Financial Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to support supply chain functions and investment decisions within the organization. This role involves conducting quantitative analyses that impact production, inventory, and general ledger accounting. The ideal candidate will have experience in finance/accounting within a manufacturing or warehouse environment and will work closely with supply chain teams across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Assemble spreadsheets, charts, and graphs to illustrate technical reports. Interpret data that affects investment programs, including price yield stability and future trends in investment risks.

  • Forecasting and Economic Analysis: Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions, providing insights for decision-making.

  • Process Improvement and SOP Support: Assist in building and supporting process maps and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting functions.

  • Accounting and Reconciliation: Conduct production and inventory accounting, general ledger analysis, and month-end journal entries. Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

  • Collaboration: Interact with supply chain finance teams at various locations (Philadelphia, King of Prussia, and St. Paul) and partner with manufacturing and warehouse teams as needed.

    Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Journal Entries and Analysis: Experience with month-close processes, including journal entries and financial analysis.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Advanced writing skills and computer literacy, with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Organizational Skills: Well-organized with the ability to prioritize responsibilities according to business needs.

  • Independent Initiative: Ability to initiate tasks, work independently, and manage time effectively.

  • Relevant Experience: Prior experience in finance or accounting, particularly within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Additional experience or certifications in financial analysis tools or software would be an advantage.

Soft Skills Required:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail and critical thinking.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Basic understanding of business trends and the ability to project future revenues and expenses.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related financial discipline, with 1-3 years of experience in a finance/accounting role, ideally within a supply chain or inventory accounting setting.

  • Preferred: Advanced degree in a financial discipline.

Interaction Level with Management and Team Members:

This role will involve close interaction with supply chain finance teams located at various facilities and potential collaboration with manufacturing and warehouse teams.

Technology Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
