Robert Half Tax Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

Client within the Hospitality industry seeks a Tax Manager who can lead a departmental transition and manage a thriving tax team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for preparing quarterly and annual tax provisions, creating and implementing strategic tax planning, preparing and filing accurate and timely tax returns, assisting with merger and acquisition projects, preparing regulations schedules, identifying opportunities for tax savings, staying abreast of legislative and regulatory tax laws, reviewing tax projections, preparing tax-related financial disclosures, and conducting research on complex tax issues and providing guidance to management on tax implications. To be successful in this role, the Tax Manager must have in-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

What you get to do everyday

· Timely preparing and filing of all tax returns

· Identify and mitigate tax risks

· Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly projections

· Develop tax strategies

· Assist with international tax and transfer pricing

· Reviewing 1099 forms and reporting

· Coordinate tax audits

· Manage and mentor members of tax team

· Review staff tax transactions

· Oversee special tax related projects

Requirements

The ideal Tax Manager will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Tax Manager role include and are not limited to:

· CPA required

· 5+ years of public accounting experience

· Experience with any tax preparation software
