Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to be based in PHILADELPHIA. This role offers an opportunity to be a part of a telecom provider, where you will be developing, implementing, and analyzing product requirements and analysis for Wi-Fi architecture on Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) products. This job offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product and Development teams to identify product and technical requirements focused on system resource requirements and Wi-Fi compliance as per 802.11 standards

• Develop strategies and characterize Wi-Fi behavior in our new products

• Conduct quality related characterizations on Global Wi-Fi products ensuring a world-class customer experience

• Work closely with internal and external development partners to drive change and come up with better solutions to evaluate product quality performance and the customer experience

• Optimize system resources with a focus on Wi-Fi performance to elevate the customer experience and develop metrics to show improvement

• Assist in various project teams in developing test strategies and designing best practices

• Understand deployment manual/automation solutions quickly, tailoring solutions to help identify, reproduce, and triage lab/field defects

• Research traffic models and industry trends to provide relevant data for laboratory conditions

• Build setups to mimic real-world environmental conditions

• Act as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment

Requirements • Demonstrable experience in a DevOps Engineer role or similar

• Proficiency in networking, automation, and workstation support

• Familiarity with Linux and other popular operating systems

• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

• Proven experience in designing, deploying, and optimizing systems

• Strong knowledge of best practices in engineering and methodology

• Experience with quality control, defect management, and compliance

• Ability to provide excellent customer service and establish successful partnerships

• Track record in research analysis, metric reporting, and data-driven optimization

• Experience in managing wireless networks and supporting media and video services

• Familiarity with the latest innovations in DevOps and willingness to stay updated

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team

• Demonstrable commitment to regular attendance and punctuality
