Robert Half BI Analyst in Phoenix, Arizona
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst in Phoenix, Arizona, 85029, United States. This role involves developing and deploying data warehouse/data mart/ETL/BI deliverables to support reporting. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for supporting semantic layer and metadata layer data products used for business intelligence self-service, among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Develop reports, dashboards, and overall data stories for internal and external customers
• Develop and deploy data warehouse/data mart/ETL/BI deliverables to support reporting
• Support semantic layer and metadata layer data products used for business intelligence self-service
• Maintain disciplined organizational skills to multi-task, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines as needed
• Develop strong interpersonal skills and communication skills to build relationships for attainment of mutual goals
• Utilize database and other related skills such as Atlassian Jira, Informatica, Gap Analysis, Agile Scrum, and Business Process Functions
• Develop with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL, ETL Development in Data Warehouse, and Data Modeling – Relational & Star Schema
• Manage indexes and views as part of the role
• Experience with Actuate reporting tool is beneficial but not essential
• Insurance background (e.g., claims, underwriting, sales, billing, or finance) is beneficial but not essential
• Experience with the Kimball Design Methodology including star schemas, bridge tables, staging tables, work tables is beneficial but not essential. Requirements • Proficiency in Atlassian Jira is necessary for effective project management
• Familiarity with database management and understanding EO/IR systems is required
• Ability to conduct Gap Analysis to identify potential improvements in business processes
• Experience with Informatica for managing data and AB Testing for optimization
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies for managing and completing projects
• Understanding of various Business Process Functions and ability to document Business Requirement Documents
• Strong skills in Design and the ability to visually present business processes and project plans
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey information to stakeholders
