Robert Half International Full Charge Bookkeeper in Phoenix, Arizona

Description

Accountemps is seeking candidates for an excellent Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity. If you multitask effectively and have strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills, this opportunity with growth potential could be a great match for you! You will be responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, such as preparing financial statements, and establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a short-term temporary-to-full-time opportunity in Phoenix, Arizona.

How you will make an impact

  • Assembling the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and income and cash flow statements

  • Maintaining historical records by filing documents

  • Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management

  • Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections

  • Reconciling bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll in ADP

  • Supervising tasks of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

  • Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets

Requirements

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • High school diploma or equivalent, AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred

  • Payroll experience preferred

  • Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping

  • Prior experience with Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree

  • Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

  • A deep understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting

  • Bank Account Reconciliation experience

  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
