Robert Half HR Generalist in Phoenix, Arizona

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an HR Generalist in the transport industry. The role is based in Phoenix, Arizona and entails providing general HR support, including onboarding and drug screening tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.

• Conduct drug screens as part of the company's commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.

• Provide a broad range of HR support services, assisting in various HR-related tasks as needed.

• Utilize strong communication skills to build relationships within the company and address inquiries or concerns.

• Leverage computer skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint and Canva, to create engaging presentations and materials for HR initiatives.

• Implement and maintain the Paylocity system for efficient HR management.

• Conduct background checks as part of the pre-employment screening process.

• Ensure compliance with DOT and non-DOT drug programs.

• Maintain a stable work history, demonstrating reliability and commitment to the role.

• Use MS Office Suite and typing skills to efficiently handle administrative tasks.

• Conduct new hire orientation, providing information and guidance to new employees. Requirements • Possess expertise in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Proficient in the use of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode and Ceridian

• Have experience with Dayforce and Benefit Functions

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Familiarity with compliance regulations within the transport industry

• Proven track record in managing employee relations effectively

• Knowledgeable in Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regulations and guidelines

• Ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with organizational goals

• Must have a proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Ability to work independently and within a team on a broad variety of projects

• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with all levels of the organization

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects to meet deadlines.
