Description Robert Half is currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team for a short-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity. Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Build analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors Requirements - Must be proficient and able to complete various financial reporting tasks
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
Ability to work well with functional department managers
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Experience with financial reporting
Accruals experience
Solid understanding of general ledger
Account reconciliation experience
Proficiency in month end closings
Strong time management and organizational skills
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
