Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Pittsburg, California

Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Pittsburg, California. The chosen candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and handling vendor inquiries. This position is within the telecom industry and requires a firm understanding of accounting principles and payment processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process A/P invoices and checks efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper approvals and correct calculations.

• Address vendor inquiries in a timely and collaborative manner, resolving any invoice inquiries or discrepancies.

• Process employee expense reports, ensuring proper approvals and receipts.

• Reconcile vendor statements, investigating and correcting any discrepancies.

• Ensure proper GL coding of invoices and expense reports by analyzing and recording entries as necessary.

• Set up new vendors and maintain vendor master file, ensuring information is complete and accurate.

• Produce annual 1099s tax filings and assist with month-end and year-end close for accruals and reconciliation.

• Assist with Payroll data entry and other payroll duties as assigned.

• Utilize Excel skills to work with pivot tables and conduct VLOOKUP operations.

• Employ ERP knowledge in managing the full-cycle AP module.

• Perform data entry tasks and other duties as assign

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Table and VLOOKUP functionalities

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Familiarity with 3 Way Matching in accounts payable

• Knowledge of ERP software for financial management

• Ability to perform accurate data entry tasks

• Demonstrable understanding of basic accounting principles

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in financial data

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

• High level of integrity and professionalism
