Description
Our client in Wilkinsburg, PA is hiring for a HR Generalist for a contract opportunity - no specific time. This candidate will be the primary person responsible for assisting in all elements of the new hire and onboarding processes, as well as any other supportive roles, as needed, in the Human Relations department. pay: $23 -27
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the recruitment process to fill vacant positions in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with managers to understand recruitment needs and establish job requirements.
• Build applicant sources by liaising with community service organizations, colleges, employment agencies, and media outlets.
• Coordinate and attend Career Fairs and Off-site Recruiting Events to attract potential applicants.
• Conduct phone screens to determine applicant qualifications and arrange management interviews.
• Manage the HRIS system to process applications and conduct necessary HRIS training for HR staff.
• Prepare documentation for job offers and compensation packages, emphasizing benefits and perks.
• Conduct the Human Relations Orientation for new hires and manage the completion of compliance documents.
• Initiate the clearance process for identified candidates in collaboration with the HR Compliance department.
• Conduct regular interviews with new hire staff to assess their onboarding experience and report outcomes monthly.
• Regularly update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
• Proven experience in the non-profit sector as an HR recruiter or similar role
• Familiarity with the entire recruitment lifecycle
• Proficient in using HR software and databases
• Knowledge of labor legislation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong decision-making skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Professional certification in human resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
