Description

We are searching for a meticulous and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role will involve a range of accounting duties, including month-end close processes, maintaining the general ledger, preparing trial balances, and adjusting journal entries. This position is offered as a fixed-term contract and requires a keen understanding of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general ledger.

• Conduct month-end and year-end closes.

• Prepare trial balances and adjust journal entries.

• Perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts.

• Post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.

• Prepare financial statements and maintain fixed asset schedules.

• Assist with budget preparation and prepare monthly budget variance analyses.

• Support audit processes and assess internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.

• Reconcile sub-ledger(s) to general ledger account balances.

• Utilize accounting software and systems to streamline processes and procedures.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP to perform responsibilities.

• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations.

• Solid understanding of General Ledger management.

• Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries.

• Experience in handling Month End Close processes.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks.

• Familiarity with Oracle software for financial management.

• Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting and financial tasks.

• Knowledge in SAP for accounting and finance.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
