Robert Half Staff Accountant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves working in the finance industry, where you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and resolving queries. Your work will contribute to the overall financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
• Conduct daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Process AP invoices and weekly check runs with due diligence
• Apply AR payments to the appropriate accounts and resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare and submit journal entries as part of the month-end close procedure
• Assist in forecasting, budgeting activities, and variance analysis
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements
• Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Assist in employee expense reimbursement processes
• Work both independently and as part of the accounting team. Requirements • Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks
• Ability to perform General Ledger operations
• Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries
• Knowledge of Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Experience in handling Expense Reimbursements
• Open to all levels of experience, including those new to the field
