Robert Half Support Project Manager/Lead in PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania
Robert Half is seeking a Systems Project Manager who will oversee projects of varying complexity. In this role, you will be expected to coordinate IT projects and ensure resources are assigned appropriate tasks to achieve project objectives. Responsibilities include project status reports, managing project schedules and meetings, identifying and resolving technical and business challenges associated with assigned projects. This role will identify and analyze solution requirements, define and manage project scope, risks, budgets and deliverables. It will also coordinate project activities and ensure all project phases are documented appropriately.
Success factors include the following:
Manages projects according to the current Project Management Methodology and Systems Development Lifecycle including scope, schedule, budget, risk and resource management.
Collaborates with appropriate working team members to document estimates and project delivery dates, including a cost-benefit analysis where applicable.
Keeps project schedules accurate and updated on a weekly basis.
Communicates status to all stakeholders in a timely, clear and concise manner.
Assures necessary business analysis functions are accomplished such as documenting requirements, testing application functionality and recording process and data flow.
Develops a basic understanding of the application and the business domain related to the project.
Develops a basic understanding of the technical architecture and main components involved with the project.
Ensures the timely and accurate storing and versioning of project artifacts.
Tracks time spent on projects for accounting purposes when applicable.
Negotiates priorities with appropriate stakeholders when conflicts arise.
Manages the project budget and communicate variances with accuracy and in a timely manner.
Participates in software and service contract negotiations when applicable.
Bachelor's degree in a related field required
Four or more years of experience with hands-on, primary responsibility for project management required
Industry certification (PMP, CAPM) is a plus
Experience managing projects in the financial services industry
Experience executing projects utilizing both iterative and Agile project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, hybrid)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead a diverse project working team
Ability to understand and apply technical concepts to business solutions
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulations to ensure safe and sound business operations related to projects within the defined portfolio
