Robert Half Title Examiner in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Title Clerk within the mortgage industry, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. As a member of our team, you will be primarily focusing on tracking, logging, reviewing, and submitting recordings related to mortgage documents. This role requires meticulous organization, detail orientation, and the ability to navigate data entry tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Track and log incoming recordings daily to ensure all tasks are completed by the required due dates

• Review and proof recordings against the title commitment, ensuring the accuracy of fees prior to submission

• Submit recordings via e-recording platforms or directly to the county

• Communicate effectively with County Recorders and Examiners to troubleshoot issues

• Collaborate with closing and production teams regarding recording matters, providing assistance as needed

• Monitor the completion of recording and ensure timely submission to the final policy department

• Stay updated on county, state, underwriter, and company requirements

• Foster a culture-first mentality and demonstrate accountability to the team and personal actions

• Maintain proficiency in personal computer and general office technical equipment

• Strive for continual growth within the position and display an eagerness to learn. Requirements • Proven experience as a Title Clerk in the Mortgage industry

• Proficiency in handling Mortgage Documents

• Strong skills in Data Entry

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to title processing

• Strong customer service orientation

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education or certifications in relevant field preferred.
