We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This role will be pivotal in our financial department, specifically within the manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for analyzing and communicating financial results to management, performing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, and coordinating the review of financial reports. This role requires a hands-on and self-motivated individual who will receive intensive on-the-job training.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and communicate financial results to management

• Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities

• Prepare Accounts Payable weekly

• Perform reconciliations

• Coordinate and review financial reports

• Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of the General Ledger

• Manage and process journal entries

• Conduct month-end close procedures

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks

• Operate IQMS software for various functions.

Requirements • Possess a strong understanding and experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficient in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated experience in managing General Ledger

• Ability to perform Journal Entries accurately

• Experience in performing Month End Close activities

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks

• Familiarity with IQMS accounting software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proven ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

• Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
