Responsibilities
· Prepares monthly journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations and trend analyses.
· Acts as a liaison with other functional areas to ensure the proper accounting for transactions.
· Works on projects/matters of different levels of complexity. Most tasks are performed under supervision.
· Prepares monthly journal entries in an accurate and timely manner with appropriate supporting documentation.
· Prepares financial statements, trial balances, and other reports
· Works with other finance groups to complete accounting processes for joint ventures, including payments of invoices, reconciliation of accounts, etc.
· Maintains the Fixed Assets records.
· Accurately records joint venture monthly profit to reflect investment in joint ventures.
· Prepares monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate presentation of financial statements.
· Completes account reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner. Works with others involved to reconcile accounts as needed.
· Assists in Financial Interim and Year-End Audits.
· Assists in System Testing for Upgrades and Enhancements.
Requirements
Qualifications
Must be detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks and assignments, and have strong follow through on assigned responsibilities.
Ability to work with financial systems and accounting software, including accounts payable and accounts receivable technology solutions.
Demonstrated ability with Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and work well with people.
Ability to create reports and analyze data, providing information to manage accounting and related processes.
Preferred bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of experience in related work.
