Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant based in Plainfield, Indiana. This role is within the manufacturing industry where the successful candidate will be tasked with managing the cost and inventory accounting processes. Additionally, the role involves general accounting duties, including reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end close.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the cost and inventory accounting processes in line with industry standards and company policies.

• Perform general accounting tasks, including reconciliation and journal entries.

• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

• Utilize ERP Solutions to streamline and automate accounting functions.

• Participate in budget processes, contributing to the development of financial plans and forecasts.

• Conduct cost analysis to support decision-making and strategy formulation.

• Apply knowledge in manufacturing cost accounting to improve costing methods and procedures.

• Maintain accurate inventory accounting records, identifying discrepancies and taking corrective action when necessary. Requirements • Must possess at least 5 years of experience in a Cost Accounting role

• Proficiency in ERP Solutions is necessary

• Demonstrable experience in Accounting Functions is required

• Proficient in Budget Processes and Cost Accounting

• Able to perform Cost Analysis effectively

• Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting is a must

• Inventory Accounting skills are essential

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must possess a strong ethical framework and professional integrity

• CPA or CMA certification is desirable but not mandatory.
