Description
If you're an experienced accountant with a knack for accuracy, Robert Half has a terrific opportunity for you. In this role, you will have responsibility over the preparation of journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. When it's time for the monthly close, you'll be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting. Additionally, you'll be participating in compliance, reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, and staying connected with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
Key responsibilities
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed
Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings
Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Perform month end close, journal entries with minimum supervision
Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Requirements
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Solid understanding of journal entries
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Current and relevant ERP system experience
