Robert Half Financial Analyst/Manager in Plano, Texas
Description Robert Half is looking for a Director of Finance to join our client! As part of the management team, the director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. This may be the role for you if you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company.
What you get to do every day
Oversee insurance and risk management
Manage the preparation of all financial reports
Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
Suggest benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Review and maintain budgeting and forecasting models
Develop and monitor an organizational structure in order to accomplish department goals and objectives
Analyze monthly operating performance against budget
Manage the composition of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
Oversee all hiring aspects of finance staff, including training and retention
Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans
Adhere to local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
Take the lead on all financial and accounting operations
Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions Requirements - Experience with higher level functionality in Microsoft Excel
Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
MBA or CPA is preferred
Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills
10+ years of finance and accounting experience
