Robert Half Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in Plano, Texas

Description Robert Half is looking for a FP& A Manager to join our client! The ideal candidate will have deep analytical capabilities, strong verbal and writing skills, and the ability to multitask and work under multiple tight deadlines at once. This role is perfect for an experienced FP& A Manager looking for a challenging role at an established company.

How you will make an impact

  • Aid in regulatory filings

  • Support and oversee the day-to-day operations of the financial planning team

  • Manage staff by recruiting, selecting, training, evaluating, and retaining employees

  • Aid with financial deliverables for the executive team

  • Examine fiscal and budget assumptions in the development of operating plans

  • Complete financial valuation and analysis for mergers and acquisitions

  • Analyze financials to enable both day-to-day and strategic decisions

  • Prepare data mining tools and financial models for variance analysis

  • Address and improve strategic issues by working in cross-functional development teams

  • Create operational budgets and forecasts during the annual budget development cycle

  • Contribute to financial analysis support for forecasting and corporate budgeting processes

  • Supervise financial analysis and developing short- and long-term financial forecasts

  • Analyze financials to enable both day-to-day and strategic decisions Requirements - Strong communication skills and skilled at building relationships

  • 2+ years of FP& A supervisory/leadership experience

  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative abilities

  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills

  • 8+ years of experience in FP& A required

  • Complex problem solving skills are a must. Candidate must be able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field is required

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications are a plus

  • Must have high business acumen

  • Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel, Access, financial Modeling and other accounting packages
