Description

Robert Half Finance and Accounting has teamed up with a Fortune 500 Company to assist in the search for a Reporting Analyst. The role will handle implementation of best practices, and reporting. SAP Software a big plus. Great opportunity to move up and grow with the company. CPA and public accounting are required.

Assist the Manager in the timely development of plans, forecasts and actuals for Cost of Sales, Operating Expenses including detailed depreciation forecast.

Prepare and analyze Operating Expenses including detailed compensation and depreciation forecast. Assist Supervisor in the development of detailed Cost of Sales plan / forecast.

Reporting of KPI's Preparation of period key performance reports

Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Requirements

Assume role of control owner for operating expense reporting

Account Analysis

Special Projects

Assist the Manager in coordinating special projects obtaining information from internal/external sources that will help in the analysis.

Present results in a clear and understandable way recommending appropriate courses of action.

Assist the Supervisor with Cost of Sales database to ensure proper maintenance and that it is up to date with latest product structures and cost.

Assist in the financial closings by accruing the necessary related expenses amounts.

Prepare monthly accruals accounts analysis.

Prepare cause of change analysis for Period Flash reporting.

Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial analysis, planning and forecasting

Experience with Sarbanes Oxley and SAP strongly desired

Strong analytical and computer skills (Excel / MS Office)

Ability to quickly analyze issues, prepare comprehensive analysis and provide insights for identifying / solving specific issues

Requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of budgeting

  • CPA/MBA preferred

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Customer service oriented communication skills

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Proven technical skills

  • Recent relevant financial experience
