Robert Half Senior Database Developer in Plano, Texas
Description
We are seeking a Senior Database Developer to join our team located in Plano, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and management of production and development servers for an Application Development Team. This role will require your expertise in Database development, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, ETL, SSIS and SQL Server technical experience.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership and management of production and development servers
• Develop and maintain advanced TSQL, Stored Procedure, views, etc.
• Manage SQL Server and Cache databases through multiple product life-cycle environments
• Develop and promote standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable security standards
• Proactively engage with IT leadership to recommend enhancements and mitigate risks within the environment
• Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement
• Design and implement procedures for monitoring, configuration management, and reporting functions
• Ensure compliance with applicable security standards and requirements
• Conduct Disaster Recovery planning and testing
• Assist with hardware and software evaluations
• Define and document best practices and support procedures
• Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans
• Provide after-hours support for infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance.
Requirements
• Expertise in Database Development, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Etc.
• Experience with EO/IR systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with database tuning, optimization and troubleshooting database issues.
• Expertise in Data Warehousing concepts and strategies.
• Expertise with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Expertise with Flat File database structures.
• Expertise in T-SQL (Transact-SQL).
• Experience with SSIS ETL tools.
• Ability to design database structures and systems.
