Robert Half Senior Tax Accountant in Plano, Texas

Description

Robert Half is looking for a Senior Accountant for permanent employment in the Dallas, TX area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every day

  • When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests

  • Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

  • Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives

  • Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Requirements

  • Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Tax Reporting experience preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings

  • Journal entries experience

  • Proficiency in US GAAP

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel

  • ERP system experience

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

  • Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

  • Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Exceptional time management skills preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
