ne of our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable function and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. You will play a vital role in maintaining positive vendor relationships, reconciling accounts, and contributing to the overall financial well-being of the organization. The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities:
Process and review vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and appropriate approvals.
Maintain vendor records, including accurate contact information, payment terms, and tax documentation.
Verify and reconcile vendor statements to ensure timely payment and resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare and process weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc payment runs, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments.
Collaborate with internal departments to obtain necessary approvals and resolve any invoice-related issues or inquiries.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accounts payable reports, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and month-end close activities.
Conduct periodic review and analysis of accounts payable processes to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations, such as tax requirements and vendor contracts.
Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships by providing timely and accurate information.
Assist with the annual audit process by providing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives related to finance and accounting as required.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, accounts payable procedures, and financial controls.
Proficient in using accounting software and ERP systems; experience with [mention specific software/system] is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
