Description
Robert Half is looking for a Payroll Clerk in Pleasant Hill, CA. The Payroll Clerk will play a vital role in supporting our clients payroll department in accurately processing employee compensation and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Processing payroll for employees on a timely and accurate basis.
Verifying and reconciling timekeeping records and attendance data.
Calculating wages, deductions, and adjustments as per company policies and regulations.
Maintaining accurate records of employee payroll information and ensuring confidentiality.
Assisting with payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolving any discrepancies.
Collaborating with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data and payroll information.
Assisting with payroll reporting and other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements
Requirements:
Previous experience in payroll processing or related field preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
High degree of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
