Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As an IT Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the successful execution of IT projects from initiation to completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Your organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and strong people skills will contribute to the seamless delivery of IT projects that align with the company's goals.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scopes, goals, and deliverables. Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
Coordination: Serve as a liaison between various teams, including IT, development, testing, and business units. Coordinate tasks, schedules, and resources to ensure the timely and efficient execution of projects.
Communication: Facilitate clear communication among project stakeholders. Distribute regular project updates, status reports, and milestone achievements. Escalate any potential issues or roadblocks to project managers for resolution.
Task Tracking: Monitor project progress by tracking task completion, deadlines, and milestones. Use project management tools to maintain accurate records of project activities and documentation.
Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks, potential bottlenecks, and challenges. Collaborate with project managers to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Resource Allocation: Collaborate with department managers to allocate resources appropriately based on project requirements. Ensure teams have the necessary tools and support to fulfill their tasks effectively.
Quality Assurance: Assist in defining and implementing quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed established standards.
Documentation: Maintain thorough project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, action items, and other relevant records.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance project efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a project coordinator, preferably in an IT or technology-focused environment.
Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management software, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Asana.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Strong people skills and the ability to build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.
Familiarity with IT concepts, software development lifecycle, and technology trends.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
