Robert Half Controller in Pleasanton, California

Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team based in Pleasanton, California. This role will be pivotal in overseeing the company's financial status, preparing and analyzing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Controller will also monitor company budgets, manage accounting transactions, and work closely with upper management to identify areas to reduce costs and liabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the company's financial status and manage accounting transactions

• Prepare and analyze the company's consolidated financial statements

• Work with auditors to complete the annual audit

• Identify areas to reduce costs and liabilities in collaboration with upper management

• Ensure the company complies with all financial regulations

• Review payroll documents to ensure accuracy

• Collaborate with banks on financing matters

• Utilize software tools like Intacct and Concur for financial management

• Supervise and lead teams within the finance department

• Maintain a fast-paced work environment while ensuring the accuracy of financial reports and statements. Requirements • Must have at least 10 years of experience in a Controller role or a similar position

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems and ERP Solutions

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with DCAA compliance guidelines

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skilled in Auditing and Budget Processes

• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Reporting and Consolidated Financial Statements

• Experience with Payroll management for 101 - 500 Employees

• Proficient in Billing processes

• Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus

• Must have a deep understanding of financial trends and market conditions

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required

• Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred

• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus.
