Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our clients dynamic team in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing the financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and margins, and provide reports to management
Perform inventory reconciliations and ensure proper cost accounting practices
Oversee the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports
Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability
Lead and mentor junior accounting staff
Requirements
5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting
Proficiency with ERP systems, such as SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
