Description
In need of an Accounting Manager to join a forward-looking company, Robert Half is searching for an individual that is eager, ambitious, and experienced. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for leading daily operations such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Ideally, you will be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. This position gives you a great opportunity to work for a company that recognizes hard work and rewards results as the Accounting Manager. Key responsibilities:
Oversee and manage a variety of accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Provide comprehensive support to the Controller, including assistance with special projects and audits
Utilize Accounting Software Systems to compile and maintain financial data and records across multiple companies
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Support billing functions and resolve any potential issues
Provide backup support to accounts payable and receivable representatives as needed
Handle customer inquiries related to financial data and records
Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
The ideal Accounting Manager candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Accounting Manager position include and are not limited to:
5+ years experience in a similar role.
Experience managing a team of professionals
Knowledge of working in an ERP system, and strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, and Outlook is required as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
