As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, audit preparation, internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every day as a Staff Accountant
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Complete other projects as required
Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Requirements
-Minimum 1-3 years of overall general staff accounting experience
-Advanced Excel function experience such as Pivot Tables and V-Lookups mandatory
Vow to meet business deadlines
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
Background working with account analysis
Review Journal Entries experience highly preferred
Experience with account reconciliation
Strong familiarity with Bank Account Reconciliation
Earlier work involving Microsoft Excel
Practical knowledge of Monthly Journal Entries
Oracle experience highly valued
Demonstrated knowledge of Adjusting Journal Entries
Good understanding of Microsoft Excel
Previous experience working with Microsoft Excel
General familiarity with journal entries
Proficiency in financial reporting preferred
Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
BA/BS in Accounting
Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate
Ability to work well with functional department managers
