Robert Half Accounting Specialist in Plymouth, Minnesota
Description
We are looking for an energetic, self-driven individual to join our team as an Accounting Specialist. Though previous experience is not a necessity, an aptitude for numbers, enthusiasm to learn, and the ability to identify and solve problems independently is a must.
Responsibilities:
Managing day-to-day general accounting duties, including data entry and processing transactions
Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Reconciling bank statements and conducting monthly and quarterly account balancing
Performing regular ledger and account reconciliation to maintain accurate records
Assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies
Compiling and presenting detailed reports, budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts
Collaborating with other department members to achieve overall financial goals
Staying updated with industry trends, current tax laws and company policies
Requirements
Must possess at least a High School diploma or equivalent
Though prior accounting experience is not required, foundational knowledge of basic accounting principles will be advantageous
Excellent problem-solving abilities along with keen attention to detail
Strong mathematical skills and the ability to work with complex numerical data
Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
Familiarity with financial software would be a plus, but not required
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
High level of professionalism with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Enthusiastic self-starter who can work independently while contributing to the needs of a team environment
