Robert Half AV Solutions Architect in Plymouth, Minnesota
Description
We are actively seeking an AV Solutions Architect to join our team. As an AV Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in developing new AV business prospects, accurately gathering business requirements, providing technical and logistical support to AV Field Technicians, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of AV products and services.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop new AV business, including sales calls and presentations, serving as the AV subject matter expert.
• Evaluate marketing leads and determine the next steps to capture AV project or revenue opportunities.
• Attend customer discovery meetings as needed to discuss alternate solution options and accurately gather business requirements.
• Conduct site walkthroughs, surveys, troubleshooting, and installation checks to ensure project accuracy.
• Develop and provide AV system designs, drawings, schematics, detailed plans, and elevations based on customer and site requirements.
• Collaborate with the purchasing department to identify necessary hardware and lead times.
• Work closely with the project services team to develop installation and testing plans, scope of work, and provide training for onsite technicians.
• Offer ongoing technical and logistical support to AV Field Technicians, including SOW review, training, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate and efficient installation.
• Participate in internal opportunity review, kickoff, and postmortem meetings for projects.
• Communicate the company's value proposition effectively to current and prospective customers.
• Maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all presentations, product lines, promotional materials, and events.
• Stay up to date with expert knowledge of AV products and services by attending tradeshows, vendor training sessions, reviewing detail-oriented publications, and establishing personal networks.
• Keep a working knowledge of competitor products and services and emerging trends in the audiovisual, conferencing, and collaboration industry.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in AV Industry - Installing & troubleshooting AV systems
Experience with D-Tools Integration Software or similar tool
AutoCAD, Visio, or experience with other system design software preferred
AV installation experience
Design experience with corporate AV systems (digital display, conference room technology, etc.)
