Robert Half Network Architect in Plymouth, Minnesota
Description
Hybrid, 3 days onsite in Plymouth, MN required
The primary focus of this position will be the design, configuration, and support of new and existing wired and wireless networks. You will work with business analysts, project managers, network system architects, 3rd party vendors and facilities managers for daily support and project-based enhancements.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and enhance Cisco Wired, Wireless LAN, WAN, network, network security, Cisco firewall in collaboration with vendors, stakeholders, Network Engineering, and partner teams.
Develop solution designs, support design reviews, and issue change requests to service suppliers while adhering to service lifecycle and technology roadmaps.
Collaborate closely with network architects on wired and wireless design initiatives.
Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes of network-specific events.
Design, monitor, analyze, and report metrics for wired and wireless solutions.
Stay informed about technological developments and maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills across key platforms.
Support automation/orchestration of alerts and remedial tasks to increase availability and agility.
Review architectures, configurations, and network tools to continuously improve network performance and reliability.
Provide service request support and troubleshooting. Provide backup to incident support team as necessary.
Implement network security standards, best practices and guidelines as defined by the DAA security team.
Requirements - Desired skills include an understanding of networking such as switching and routing
Networking experience
Deep understanding of Cisco ASA
Checkpoint experience required
Practical knowledge of Eigrp
Firewall Technologies experience highly preferred
Foundational knowledge in Cisco Routers
Adeptness in Computer Hardware
Experience with Cisco Technologies
Demonstrated knowledge of configuration management
Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) experience desired
General familiarity with design
