Robert Half Plant Controller in Plymouth, Minnesota

Description We are searching for a diligent Plant Controller to join our team in Plymouth, Minnesota. As a Plant Controller, you will oversee financial reporting and account analysis, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will work closely with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Shared Services, and drive process improvements for the Finance department.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee month and year-end close processes, financial reporting, and account analysis.

• Prepare and analyze monthly reports, forecasts, annual budgets, and key performance indicators.

• Ensure all corporate internal control requirements are met and coordinate documentation for capital investment project approvals.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations related to accounting and commercial practices.

• Oversee audits of bills of materials to ensure product costs are accurate and accounted for properly.

• Collaborate closely with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Shared Services.

• Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and performance measurements to support operational goals.

• Continuously drive process improvements and initiatives for the Finance department to improve effectiveness.

• Utilize ERP system to support operations and maintain a comprehensive understanding of General Ledger, Manufacturing Accounting, Inventory Control, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Plant Controller role or similar position

• Proficiency in software applications such as 3M, ADP - Financial Services, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Experience with tools such as CapEx, Eaton, and About Time is desirable

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Cost Accounting

• Extensive knowledge of Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Standard Cost Accounting

• Demonstrable experience in managing Budget Processes and Capital Management

• Ability to oversee business operations effectively

• The candidate should have a solid understanding of financial regulations and legislation

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or professional certifications are a plus.
