Robert Half Staff Accountant in Plymouth, New Hampshire
Description We are offering a position for a Staff Accountant in Plymouth, New Hampshire, United States. The role is within the financial industry and is a short-term contract role. The Staff Accountant will be a key member of our accounting team, responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial records
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations
• Ensure accurate and timely financial data is available for reporting
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports
• Manage both accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries
• Coordinate the month-end close process
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve overall organizational goals
• Resolve financial related inquiries or issues.
The responsibilities of this role require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Requirements • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations
• Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger management
• Experience with Journal Entries and financial record keeping
• Familiarity with Month End Close processes and procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• CPA or CPA candidacy is a plus
