Robert Half Bilingual Collections Specialist in Pompano Beach, Florida
Description
We are in search of a Bilingual Collections Specialist to join our team located in Pompano Beach, Florida. This role involves handling both B2B and B2C collections, as well as payment posting. The selected candidate will be expected to excel in customer communication and have a keen eye for detail. This role is critical in maintaining our customer relationships and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records.
Responsibilities:
• Handle B2B and B2C collections, ensuring efficient and effective recovery of debts
• Post payments accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all transactions are recorded
• Assist with credit card declines and recurring payments, engaging with customers to obtain updated payment information
• Conduct manual data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness
• Follow established processes and procedures without deviation, demonstrating a high level of independence and responsibility
• Monitor the Accounts Receivable (AR) outbox and manage incoming payments
• Perform regular follow-ups with customers to ensure prompt payment
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and industry-specific Trux software (training will be provided) to manage and analyze customer data
• Maintain a customer-friendly approach while performing collection activities
• Collaborate with team members and report to the supervisor as necessary.
Requirements
• Bilingual Spanish required
• Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role
• Knowledge of B2B collections processes and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Familiarity with laws related to debt collection (e.g. FDCPA)
• High ethical standards and professionalism, respecting all internal policies regarding confidentiality and data protection
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting
• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a relevant discipline will be appreciated
• Ability to handle sensitive, stressful situations with professionalism and tact.
