Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Construction AutoCAD Administrator to join our small construction office. This role calls for a dynamic individual who has experience with AutoCAD and architectural drawings. The chosen candidate will be responsible for creating, revising, and maintaining architectural drawings as well as preparing and issuing design plans.
Responsibilities:
Develop, revise, and maintain architectural drawings using AutoCAD software.
Evaluate design specifications and measurements to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
Collaborate with office and construction teams as needed to establish project expectations.
Convert the designs into technical drawings that guide construction crews.
Manage and coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure open communication and timely project completion.
Initiate and implement changes in AutoCAD drafting procedures in order to improve efficiencies.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of AutoCAD tool set and new software releases.
Ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.
Keep detailed records of all drawings that are produced and revisions made.
Requirements
Requirements:
Degree in architecture, engineering or related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 5 years of experience using AutoCAD in a construction setting.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with architectural drawings.
Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Strong technical drawing abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills to work within a diverse team.
Problem-solving skills and capacity to work under tight timelines.
Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM)
